Our new book explores our country's incredible rivers. We have contributed to guide books for international publishers like New Holland (NHP London) and Globetrotters (SA) and have also covered destinations, lifestyle, and real-estate for several prominent publications.
Rivers sustain much of our planet’s eco system; it is no accident then that civilizations first rose along the banks of great rivers. River journeys offer a kind of cultural time travel, inviting the mind to imagine how people lived thousands of years ago, slowly progressing, and evolving into what we now know as the civilized world.
Our journey follows the meandering passage of eight major rivers through a varied multicultural landscape that changes every few kilometres. We have tried to highlight the symbiosis between these life-sustaining water bodies and the people who live along them. Through our work, we hope to educate communities that live along these rivers and encourage them to do their bit to stem further ecological degradation.
